Solution Architect VS Enterprise Architect
Solution Architect solves business problems, defined by business or user requirements
Enterprise Architect ensures the right business problem is solved in the right way
The solution design describes the solution context which is the interaction between people processes data application and technical infrastructure the more granular the better such as breaking an application up into services with APIs; at the minimum, it should contain :
An application architecture that shows applications application components and application services and their interactions
A data architecture that describes tables data stores and the relationships
A technology infrastructure architecture that describes underlying infrastructure including cloud and on-premise servers and networks
And if they exist, reference architectures should be used :
A reference architecture is a set of artifacts that provide the recommended structures and integrations of IT products and services to form a solution; the reference architecture embodies accepted industry best practices typically suggesting the optimal delivery method for specific technologies; they have different names in different frameworks in TOGAF for example they are called tactical reference models or TRMs by overlaying this information on the conceptual framework we see that solution architecture fully cover three dimensions and partly covers one dimension
